Noles End League Affiliation
Bronx, NY
The New York Seminoles and The Triboro Baseball League have terminated affiliation participation in 2008.
Mired in league turmoil over league provisions for team safety, schedule organization and fulfillment and financial conflict. Continuation in league operations was non-beneficial for both parties.
Founded in 1996, The league flourished in the late 90's with 25+ game schedules, All-Star showcases held at the University of Hofstra and St. Johns University, special game events at the MLB Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York and participation of 300+ players. But the arrival of new managment teams in 2001 and 2006, brought forth a diminished structure in league operation. Including the abolishment of all special events, a 120% increase in membership cost, game time limits and a 60% reduction in games scheduled.
The Seminoles part with the best of intentions and look forward to the numerous opportunities in the years ahead.
